Blossoming & Withering
My name is Baylie Penner. I live on an acreage outside of Saskatoon with my husband and two kids. They’re 2 & 1/2 years and 3 months old. I struggled with the transition into motherhood as I was dedicated to my career as a pharmacist and truthfully, I enjoyed my life without kids more than I realized. My first child taught me so much about myself and forced me to think about things in many areas of my life. I am so grateful that I had close friends navigating the same journey as me. I found a new love for talking about all the struggles and triumphs of motherhood as we went through it all together. I find telling these stories is therapeutic in many ways. My second baby has shown me infinite love but has given me a whole new set of challenges to work through and it’s just the beginning. All the changes I’ve gone through in the last couple years have forced me to grow in unexpected ways. The days are filled with moments where I feel like I’m doing great and then there’s times when I’m just trying to get through the day. I’m learning to take all the good moments with the bad. Life is a continuous learning process and hopefully my stories will help women adapt to similar changes a little bit easier or at least just have a laugh on my account. We’re all just doing our best here. Go out and Bloom Where YOU Are Planted.
